Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,
On 27 February 2024, in response to a previous information request, I was advised: "Wirral Council does not have a dedicated Active Travel Team."
At tonight's Council meeting (7 October 2024), the Chair of the Environment, Climate Emergency and Transport Committee, when answering a question made in public, referred to assurances from the Council's 'Active Travel Team' (in relation to a question about loss of trees to enable cycle lanes to be installed.
Can you please advise when the Active Team was appointed and which Director it answers to?
