Ian Lewis made this Freedom of Information request to Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,

I would also be grateful for a copy of any Equality Impact Assessments in relation to the above and details of any specific discussions or correspondence with the RNIB or National Federation of the Blind.

Members of Highways staff have previously had on-line meetings with RNIB
representatives to discuss active travel and scheme proposals.  The RNIB
sit on Wirral’s Active Forum and are invited to each meeting and receive
all correspondence regarding scheme proposals.  Their representative
attends regularly and has had direct engagement with members of highways
and regeneration staff who have also undertaken training sessions provided
by RNIB representatives, including guided walks where various levels and
types of vision are simulated.

Yours sincerely
