Dear University of Oxford,

Please send me any organisational chart or similar which sets out the governance regime for the University, which allows the university to formulate / evaluate policies that seek to promote cycling and walking - both with the university also in the wider city. Collectively, cycling and walking is also often known as "active travel".

For example, there may be a transport committee, a environmental committee, a facilities committee that deals with paths and parks, the provision of cycle racks etc, or perhaps a committee that liaise with Oxford's two main transport authorities, the city and county council in relation to active travel policies.

As this stage, I've really interested in the organisational structures themselves that facilitate any such policy formations and discussions , together with terms of reference / competences / aims and objectives etc for any such committees . Follow-on FOIs will focus more on discussions held, and decisions reached, once I know where to look.

I have a particular interest in learning more about whether Oxford University has any plans to open up the grounds of its colleges and parks to facilitate more active travel for residents the city, thus reducing the need to use private cars. Oxford University appears to be in favour of active travel (in general terms), but (at first glance) seems somewhat reluctant to open up its own facilities to enable an increase in active travel by non-university members.
