Action Taken over Cycling on the Pavement
Dear Thames Valley Police,
Section 72 of the Highway Act 1835 prohibits ‘wilfully riding’ on footpaths, which refers to the path at the side of a carriageway.
How many times in the last 12 months have the Police enforced this law within the city of Oxford? i.e. how many cautions or fines have been handed out by TVP for breaking the law cited above?
Yours faithfully,
Nathan Soper
