Dear Department for Education,

For clarification:

(1) Who wrote this document? - The original document I linked to stated that an apology was "confirmed in writing". My initial understanding of this comment was therefore that Action Fraud had confirmed the apology in writing. If this is not the case can you please clarify who wrote this confirmation.

(2) - If Action Fraud did not make this written confirmation, can you please (a) tell me if you hold a confirmation from Action Fraud, and (b) release that document if relevant, as this is what the original request was asking for.

Yours faithfully,

Laura McInerney

Public authorities deciding 'release the document' means 'release a press release about the document' is always annoying... Hope they sort it on internal review
