Dear Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority,

Question 1: Does your Authority actively take legal action against perpetrators of fraudulent use of blue badges?

Question 2: If the answer to question 1 is yes, how many cases have been prosecuted during a) 2017, b) 2018 and c) 2019 to date?

Yours faithfully,
Mark Ramius

Thank you for your request for information which I have logged accordingly and will report in the usual way.

However, we are a national park and not the highways parking authority - you would need to contact the constituent district councils for this information. We do own a handful of car parks within the national park area but we do not give any concessions for blue badge holders anyway.

If the Applicant is not happy with the Authority’s response to a request for information, he may, within 40 working days of receipt of this decision, ask for a review of the decision by contacting the Complaints Officer (email [email address] or telephone 01969 652326).

This request for a review will be treated as a complaint and dealt with in accordance with the Authority’s complaints procedure. If having completed the Authority’s complaints procedure the Applicant remains dissatisfied, he or she may refer the matter to the Information Commissioner’s Office:
