Dear Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust,

I note that you are offering Actimel to patients at Royal Preston and Chorley and South Ribble Hospitals as part of a trial.

Dr David Orr has been quoted as saying that "it costs less than £25,000 for a six-month supply of Actimel...".

Please can you confirm the following:

1. The date the trial commenced and the date that it is intended to be concluded.
2. The number of units that you have agreed to purchase from your supplier during this period.
3. The total cost of the units supplied, including any transportation and other costs.
4. The cost per unit.
5. The volume of each unit supplied (in grams or ml or however measured).

Many thanks.
