Dear University of Dundee,

Information on the School of Life Science staff directory suggests that there is a role of 'Head of the Division Biological Chemistry and Drug Discovery' and also role of 'Head of the Drug Discovery Unit'. The university's own webpages also define roles of 'Director of WCAIR' and 'Head of Chemistry, Drug Discovery Unit'.

The apparent interchangeability of responsibility lines within the School of Life Sciences may explain why the key roles relating to both quality of output and safety responsibility are not defined on the university's own staff directory. The specific roles of 'DGEM Project Leader', 'WCAIR Medicinal Chemistry Trainer' and 'Portfolio Manager for Innovative Targets' appear in LinkedIn profiles but not the University of Dundee School of Life Sciences own staff directory at the time of this Freedom of Information submission. Of greater concern is that the job title 'Head of Biology and Innovative Targets Portfolio' appears on the university's own recruitment pages but not the staff directory.

Which University of Dundee policy and procedure defines the job role of the person(s) who is(are) RESPONSIBLE and ACCOUNTABLE for the accuracy of staff directory information?

If such a policy and procedure for the responsibility and accountability of the accuracy of job role descriptions on the University of Dundee's own staff directory exists, when was it introduced?

Yours faithfully,
S. Grove
