Accounting and Finance BSc

The request was partially successful.

Dear University of Leeds,

I am writing to request the degree classification by nationality of students who have graduated from Accounting and Finance BSc for academic year 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2016/17.

For each of the said graduation years, please prepare a spreadsheet detailing the number of students awarded first class honors (1st), second-upper class honors (2nd-U), second-lower class honors (2nd-L), third class honors (3rd) and fail/unclassified (F) and their respective nationalities.

For e.g. :

Academic year 2014/15
Nationalities of graduates / 1st / 2nd-U / 2nd-L / 3rd / F
Country L / 21 / 11 / 0 / 0 / 0
Country D / 0 / 21 /11 / 0 / 0
Country S / 0 / 0 / 21 / 11 / 0

Yours faithfully,

The University of Leeds holds this information. However, due to the small
numbers involved, we are not able to provide the information you have
requested at the level of detail you require. We are withholding some
figures under section 40(2) of the FOI Act.

Section 40(2) sets out that information is exempt from disclosure if it is
the personal data of someone other than the person making the request, and
disclosure would; contravene the data protection principles; contravene an
objection to processing; or if the data is exempt from the right of
subject access. We consider that the release of this information would be
likely to lead to the identification of individuals and would therefore
reveal the nationality and degree outcome of the individuals. This would
be unfair and would therefore breach their data protection rights.
