Account Holders at Bank of England
Dear Bank of England,
On this webpage https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/markets/... you refer to reserves accounts that have deposits for central bank money at the Bank of England.
Please can you provide a list of the owners of the top 100 accounts by nominal value and please can you provide how much money is held for each of these accounts?
If you cannot provide one or both of these for privacy reasons then please provide aggregated statistics enough to preserve privacy you hold since 1970 on:
1) Country of account holders
2) Divide the amount of money held into ranges large enough to preserve privacy (for example £10000-£20000, £20000-£30000, etc) and give statistics on the number of holders in each range as a nominal value and a percentage of total account holdings
3) Total number and percentage of account holders by category (foreign central banks, UK banks, foreign banks, etc) and please provide additional categories and subcategories where relevant
Yours faithfully,
Tom Macleod
