Dear North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust,

I would like to know:

1:

For the period from 1st Jan 1998 to 31 Dec 2016, for each calendar year,
the number of patient journeys (including emergency, transfer, and special
journeys categories) conducted by NHS North East Ambulance Trust, shown by
category.

2:

For the period from 1st Jan 1998 to 31 Dec 2016, the number of road
accidents with injury for NHS North East Ambulance Trust (including Fatal,
Serious, and Slight categories) where any driver, passenger, patient, or
external bystander was injured, shown by category.

I submitted your request to the two departments within the Trust that may possibly hold the information. I have been asked to seek clarification as to whether PTS (Patient Transport Service) journeys are to be included or just the 999 service.

I have stopped the clock on this FOI request until this clarification is received.
