Dear Your Right To Know,

I think this is still incomplete as I believe there has been a supplement to this strategy published by the council regarding eAccessibility and the web. I think this is contained somewhere within the InfoNet for schools. I am happy to do this through a formal review if you require it but would rather that this was unnecessary preferring to not go down such a formal route if this can be supplied without doing so.

Please can you supply.

Yours sincerely,

Accessibility Consultancy

Dear Essex County Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Essex County Council's handling of my FOI request 'Accessibility Strategy Essex'.

Following the councils response to my request I indicated that the response was incomplete. This resulted in a further response that included one of the documents specifically requested in the original request. However it is clear that supplements to that document subsequently provided have not been furnished. Specifically this 'supplementary guidance' contained within the schools info link pages (page entitled "The Equality Act and Accessible Schools" has not been supplied.

The original request contained the following question "Do you have any additional charters or policy commitments in regards to web accessibility – please supply these in an accessible
electronic form

" clearly this has not been achieved - and I expect to receive them in response to this internal review.

I would also like to point out that I gave the council the opportunity to furnish this without having to go through the formal review process - I am disappointed that the freedom of information team decided to ignore this opportunity preferring not to even reply. In this time of economic hardship I find it perplexing that the council should choose to waste taxpayers and ratepayers money by taking the request through an expensive review process when this was unnecessary.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/a...

Yours faithfully,
