Thank you for your email dated 06 October 2020 requesting information from
the University of Warwick under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Please find below your request and the University’s response.

FOI Request
Please provide the information below for students who applied to Computer
Science BSc that took an Access to HE Diploma with no A levels in the
years 17/18, 18/19 and 19/20.

o Number of applications
o Number of offers sent
o Number of offers accepted
o The average offer given

After the University sought clarification from you on 15 October 2020, you
provided the following further information:

o I would like to receive data for 2019/2020
o I want to know about the number of applicants and offers.
o I only want to know about information regarding the course Bsc MORSE.

Please find the requested information in the table below:

Concerning the average offer given, the University’s typical offer for an
applicant studying the Access to HE Diploma would be to obtain 45 Credits
at Level 3, including Distinction in 33 Level 3 Credits and Merit in 12
Level 3 Credits. The University may also specify that Distinctions need to
be achieved in certain modules. The University’s current requirements for
Computer Science mean that we are generally only able to consider
applicants who are studying A-Level Mathematics alongside an Access to HE
Diploma.

Please note where the University has stated the value as ‘< 5’ it declines
to provide the actual figure on the grounds that the numbers are very
small and could potentially lead to the identification of individuals,
which may place the University in breach of the General Data Protection
Regulation 2016 and the Data Protection Act 2018. The University is
relying on the exemption under section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information
Act 2000 in this regard.
