Full time Interview and Enrolment Day - Friday 22^nd August 9.00am to
3.30pm
If you have just received your GCSE results and wish to enrol on a full
time Further Education or Training for Success course, please read
information below:
1. Apply online now if you have not already done so –

2. Upload your exam results to your online application - You can do
this from your smart phone/tablet device or in the Learning Resource
Centre on campus
3. You must complete the enrolment process in person so call in to your
nearest main College Campus (Bangor, Ards, Downpatrick or Lisburn) with a
copy of your exam results/results slip
4. PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BRING PHOTOGRAPHIC ID WITH YOU
5. PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BRING YOUR EXAM CERTIFICATES OR RESULTS SLIP
WITH YOU
6. You will receive further instructions re the interview process from
the College staff when you arrive.
7. Once you are enrolled, you will have the opportunity to have your
photo taken for your student ID card, however if you would prefer to
upload your own photograph you may do so from a smart phone/tablet device.
8. You will receive your student card on the first day of term.
L3 SUBSIDIARY DIPLOMA and L3 90 CREDIT DIPLOMA STUDENTS
Please note if you have completed the first year on the above programmes
and are returning in September to complete the Diploma/Extended Diploma
Top Up, you do not need to attend the Interview and Enrolment day on
Friday 22^nd August. You will be automatically enrolled and simply need to
attend for your first day on Tuesday 2^nd September.
Full time Course Start Dates
If your enquiry relates to full time course arrangements for the new term,
please see below:
· First year students (Further Education and Higher Education)
commence on Monday 1^st September at 9.00am
· Includes new and existing students who are progressing to a new
course level e.g. from Level 2 to Level 3
· Returning students (Further Education and Higher Education)
commence on Tuesday 2^nd September at 9.00am
· This includes students coming back into the second year of a
Level 3 programme.
o Training for Success students – your Training Support Officer will be
in touch with you directly to confirm your start date as the days will
differ
Part time Interview and Enrolment Day - Tuesday 26^th August, 4.00pm –
8.00pm
This is an opportunity to be interviewed for a course (where applicable)
and enrol. Please note that payment is required at the time of enrolment.
If course fees are more than £300 you will be able to pay 50% deposit on
enrolment and sign a direct debit form for the remaining balance.
Please note that courses which don’t require an interview can be enrolled
at any time during office hours, either in person or by phone.
Some vocational courses have concessionary rates attached to the tuition
fee. Please visit our website [3]www.serc.ac.uk for further details. Valid
evidence of benefit entitlement MUST be produced at the time of enrolment
and concessions cannot be applied retrospectively.
Please note the College operates a no refunds policy. Tuition fees will
only be refunded where a course does not run or is oversubscribed.
Part time Course Start Dates
Part time classes will commence from week commencing Monday 8^th
September. Please check your enrolment receipt for further details.

“I would like to know if anyone has ever being granted a resit for access
to university course science based. If so what grounds was this on”
We have dealt with your request in accordance with your ‘right to know’
under section 1(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), which
entitles you to be provided with a copy of any information ‘held’ by a
public authority, unless an appropriate exemption applies.
Under Section 1(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act (2000) the College
can confirm that it does hold the information in relation to your request.
The College can confirm that we have never permitted a student to resit an
Access Course in any of the areas which we offer.
YOUR RIGHT TO APPEAL:
If you are not happy with how the College has handled your request or
exemptions applied to the response they have a right to ask for an
internal review of your request. Appeals should be submitted within 2
weeks of receipt of this response detailing reasons for dissatisfaction
