The request was partially successful.

Dear Edinburgh Leisure,

I have now been informed that access controls will be coming into place at the majority of the Edinburgh leisure venues, when will it be fully implemented? And is it definitely going ahead?

Dear Simon Russell

Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 – Information not held

Thank you for your request for information of 24.01.18 where you asked
for:

I have now been informed that access controls will be coming into place at
the majority of the Edinburgh leisure venues, when will it be fully
implemented? And is it definitely going ahead?

Information not held

Your request is being processed under the Freedom of Information
(Scotland) Act 2002. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with the
information requested as it is not held by Edinburgh Leisure.

Please note that this letter constitutes a formal refusal notice under
Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Response & Supplementary Information

Edinburgh Leisure does not hold the information on when the roll out of
access controls will be fully implemented nor whether it is definitely
going ahead.

Access control gates are one of a series of Customer Improvement projects
which Edinburgh Leisure is currently considering which are intended to
improve our Customer Journey. The intention is to roll out easy access
across all Edinburgh Leisure venues.

There was a project group working on a Business Case outlining the
planning and implementation of roll out of easy access gates within all
Edinburgh Leisure Venues. This Business Case was sent to our Strategic
Leadership Team (SLT) for a decision.

At this point in time, the Business Case has been heard at our Strategic
Leadership Team’s (SLT) meeting however the decision to progress has not
been made. Our SLT require further information before committing to the
project therefore at the moment there are no timescales for
implementation. Following the additional information, SLT may decide not
to progress with this project due to costs or other factors, and therefore
there will be no implementation date.

At the moment, we are therefore unable to provide you with the information
on when it will be fully implemented nor if it is definitely going ahead
as our SLT have not agreed the project.

Please note that this letter constitutes a formal refusal notice under
Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

To promote transparency and accountability, please note it is Edinburgh
Leisure’s Policy to publish all request details and responses made under
freedom of information legislation. This information will be made
available through Edinburgh Leisure’s website and will not include your
personal details. The disclosure log is available here.
