The following columns are required

- Academy Name
- Opened Date
- Local Authority
- Old Academy Sponsor
- New Academy Sponsor
- Date Joined new sponsor
- Reason for switch

Please note that the list should include

- Academies that have switched from one sponsor to another
- Academies that have moved to a sponsor but were previously associated
- Academies that were associated to a sponsor but are no longer associated
- Academies that have closed
- Academies that have moved switched sponsor more than once

Please provide this information in a CSV file

I have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
(“the Act”).

The information is attached in the format you have requested.  The list
includes all academies that have moved to or from a trust set up by an
approved sponsor.  I have interpreted point two of your required
inclusions as “Academies that have moved to a sponsor but were NOT
previously associated”, and have included such cases.  Where new
identifiers have been issued as part of the switch, the previous
identifiers can be found in columns K to N.   

Where an academy is underperforming, we won’t hesitate to take action.
