Academic journals subscriptions and yearly global cost

The request was successful.

Dear University of Sunderland,

I would like to be provided with the following information:

For the last 5 years available, for each of them...

1. The total yearly expenditures on academic/scientific journal subscriptions. The year and the global figure only. I understand some paid items may include other types of publications.

2. A list of all subscribed items - journal titles that are individually subscribed and journal packages (name of the bundle/database). Example:

Item of subscription

Journal of Psychology
Journal of Pediatrics
Nature
Environmental Communication
British Politics
PSYarticles
JSTOR package abc
Elsevier package abc
EBSCO package abc

Please provide the data in a data file format like .csv .xslx, etc, unless another format would save significant time and present a higher likelihood of not making the request exceed its cost limit.

Please let me know if my request exceeds the resources limit levelled by the FOI Act of 2000, and I would be glad to narrow it down. It is legally required for the institution to let me know if that is the case.

As well, if you need any clarification, then please contact me via email. Under your section 16 duty to provide advice and assistance I would expect you to contact me if you find this request unmanageable in any way. I can be contacted by phone as well - just ask so.

I thank you very much, please do not hesitate to contact me if needed.

Yours faithfully,

Steve Carufel
