Abstraction of water from Plemstall, near Chester

The request was successful.

Dear United Utilities Water PLC,

Environmental Information Request

Dee Water confirm that you are abstracting water from a borehole at Plemstall, near Chester.

Residents from Ince and Elton confirm they are supplied with water from Plemstall. It is clearly not Dee water since they have scale problems,

The Environment Agency does not abstraction at Plamstall on their map of licensed abstraction points: http://maps.environment-agency.gov.uk/wi...

Residents are compromised in the event of a spillage that needs to be managed by the Environment Agency, if the EA do not know where abstraction is taking place.

Please can you advise why this abstraction at Plemstal is not licensed by the EA.

Yours faithfully,

Colin Watson

Dear United Utilities Water PLC,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of United Utilities Water PLC's handling of my FOI request 'Abstraction of water from Plemstall, near Chester'.

This simple FOI has not been responded to in the time specified. Since it is a simple request for information that should be readily available I am requesting an internal review to determine why this information is not available within the organisation, or to the public which it serves.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/a...
