Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Hafren Dyfrdwy Cyfyngedig should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Dee Valley Water plc,

I am interested in your abstraction points surrounding Ellesmere Port and Chester. I have heard that there is significant abstraction around Chester (25 km) to support the public water supply via United Utilities in the Summer Months, and also abstraction in Plemstall, near Chester is referred to in Wikipedia.

I would be grateful if you could provide a list of abstraction points in a 25 km radius of Chester and Ellesmere Port, including the annual volume abstracted from those points.

Yours faithfully,

Colin Watson

Dear Dee Valley Water plc,

A gentle reminder that I have not heard anything back from you on this FOI.

Yours faithfully,

Colin Watson

Good Morning,

Further to the below email.

Can you please clarify is it the water abstration points which we get our
raw water from or is it finding out about yourself needing water from an
abstraction point.

Thank you

Kind Regards

Amy

Dear Amy

Thanks for this response. I am interested in abstraction points that you use for public water supply, or any other big abstraction points for public supply that you may have an interest in.

My concern is the contamination to them that fracking may cause.

Yours sincerely,

Colin Watson

Dear Customer Support,

This FOI is long overdue. I would be grateful if you could progress it.

It is very worrying that the local water authority seems to find difficulty in knowing where it takes its water from.

Please could you review why this has taken so long to resolve.

Yours sincerely,

Colin Watson
