If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the Section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine my request.

If you can identify any ways that my request could be refined I would be grateful for any further advice and assistance.

If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact me via email and I will be very happy to clarify what I am asking for and discuss the request, my details are outlined below.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response.

RESPONSE

Please find attached our Attendance Management Policy.

Please note that in relation to our Attendance Management Policies (and
all Force policies), an Equality Impact Assessment is undertaken by the
policy author, with input from Diversity & Inclusion, Trade Unions, Police
Federation and Staff Association colleagues. This considers each of the
protected characteristics, potential impact and mitigation.

To further assist, we have been able to locate additional information
regarding reasonable adjustments that make reference to the protected
characteristics; this is available on our intranet page (for internal use
only), therefore, we have copied and pasted the text from this page and
provided this as an additional attachment.

As recommended as good practice by the Information Commissioner’s Office a
version of this response may be published on the West Midlands Police
