Abortion laws have taken away the rights of domestic violence survivors.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Scottish Commission for Human Rights,

Are the human rights of women to have an abortion more important than the human rights of domestic violence survivors? when someone attacks a pregnant women and this attack ends the life of her child why is the accused not charged with murder? Or child destruction from conception? Why if a woman is say 18 weeks pregnant and has her very much loved baby killed is it not classified as murder? . Why do abortion rights have to take away my rights as a woman, as a human, as a mother ? Why do I not have the right to have my children given their correct value as priceless from conception?
Why are the rights of unborn children and their mothers being denied to them just because of the abortion laws?
Why do I not have the right to protect my babies and body and seek justice for the death of a child just because someone else wants their rights to an abortion?

Why can't women who have their children murdered in the womb not be given the justice they deserve just because of the wording on abortion laws?

Are the humans right act article 14 not in breach because the right to end a pregnancy through abortion has been given priority over violence against pregnant women that ends the babies life?

Yours faithfully,
Ashleigh Thomson
