Can you confirm that there is no other way to report "Actual (or attempted) downloading or viewing of pornography" on any council owned hardware, other than an automated response from a computer program.

Dear Aberdeenshire Council,

This is simply seeking clarification of your reply and is in no way intended to nullify the Freedom of Information request. The reason I was seeking clarification is simple - I asked "if there have been any reported instances of viewing of pornography or other internet misuse which may have associated pornographic imagery, since the year 2000”.

Your response has not made it clear if there has been any reported instances - in fact it makes no mention of this at all. All you have said is that you run a computer program which will filter out known web addresses. Please note that my original request makes no mention of restricting reporting to web based filtering.

Interestingly, in the Acceptable Use Policy it does state "you should report your concerns to your immediate or higher line manager, Internal Audit, Principal Information Security Officer or SSDN Project Officer" which is clearly another source of reporting, extracted from the same document you have referred to in your initial response.

I accept you have responded to the first part of my request relating to the policy and now hope you could be helpful by giving a response to the second part of the request

"have there been any reported instances of
viewing of pornography or other internet misuse which may have
associated pornographic imagery, since the year 2000"

Please ask for clarification if you're unsure what I mean by this.

Yours faithfully,

Iain Lawrie
