Dear Warwick District Council,

The District Council published a Sustrans Report on the feasibility of cycle routes in Abbey Fields. It held a stakeholder meeting on 7th September 2016 with the following next steps:

Proposed next steps

Warwick District Council as landowners of Abbey Fields will consider the recommendations of the study and the feedback received from stakeholders before making a formal decision on whether to progress work to establish a cycle route in Abbey Fields. Kenilworth Town Council will be consulted on this matter.

It said that if agreed it would then explore funding options with the County Council.

Please provide any relevant meeting minutes or documentation relating to this discussion or the council’s position on the matter.

Dear David Anderson,

Thank you for your response. In particular, I am looking for documents that detail WDC's formal decision which was promised as an action following on from the stakeholder meeting on 7th September.

I am in receipt of an email from John Whitehouse, County Councillor for Kenilworth Abbey on 31st October 2016 asking for a progress update to to Cllr Dave Shilton, who replied on 01/11/16 with: "The decision will be made in the near future after further work has been completed by the Green space team and senior officers.
