Susan Kaewchaluay, Burnley Borough Council

Hello

Please find below the response to your Freedom of Information request

“Can you provide a list of derelict, empty and abandoned buildings /
houses
both private and council please and if know how long these buildings have
not
been occupied for.”

Response

We are unable to disclose details of empty properties under the Freedom of
Information Act as we believe that Section 31 (1) (a) (Law Enforcement)
exemption is engaged and that the public interest in withholding the
information outweighs the public interest in providing the information.

You may, if dissatisfied with the treatment of your request, ask the
council to conduct a review of its decision under the council's complaints
procedure. The review will be carried out by someone who has not been
involved in dealing with your request for information. Please e-mail or
write if you would like a review.

If, following the review, you remain dissatisfied with the council's
treatment of your request then you may take your complaint to the
Information Commissioner at Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire
SK9 5AF.

Regards

Dear Burnley Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Burnley Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Abandoned'.

As a local photographer and video maker I would like to know the information to tell the history of such buildings of interest, you could send the information via a private email and I would not make that information public

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/a...

Yours faithfully,

Frank burnside
