ABA Provisions in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
Dear Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea,
I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) provisions for children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in Kensington and Chelsea for the period between January 2020 and January 2025. Please provide the following details:
1. The number of children in Kensington and Chelsea who received LA-funded ABA through their EHCPs during this period.
2. The number of children who received ABA support in state mainstream schools in Kensington and Chelsea during this period.
3. The number of children who received ABA through Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) arrangements in Kensington and Chelsea during this period.
4. The number of children who received LA-funded ABA during school holidays during this period.
5. The number of families in Kensington and Chelsea who secured ABA provisions for their children through SENDIST tribunals during this period.
6. The number of cases where ABA provisions ordered by a SENDIST tribunal were unlawfully removed from EHCPs by Kensington and Chelsea Council during this period.
