A Level Thresholds

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, University of Cambridge should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear University of Cambridge,
I am making a freedom of information request on how the grade thresholds are calculated.
I've heard that if you do AS and A2 examinations in one sitting ( say doing them only on Oct/Nov 15 instead of AS in June 15 and A2 Oct/Nov in 2015) , grade thresholds for grades will be lower . Basically , when deciding grade thresholds , is the time of which A2 and AS levels are done factored in to the decision of the final grade boundaries ( AS And A2 combined score ) ? Or are they purely decided on the component score of the respective AS and A2 exam?

Yours faithfully,
Jansen Law
