Dear Archives Team Mailbox, Exam boards:Either Oxford Delegacy or OCR, depending on which was operating 1966/67. I request ;History Alevel 1966, English History, European History ( I answered questions from 17thc);
Special Paper- France in Age of Richelieu and Mazarin. Also History A Level 1967, English and European History (I answered questions from 16thc);Special Paper-Age of Discovery. Also French A Level Papers for 1966 and Autumn 1967 - Literature included Candide, Mauriac, Merimee, Les Mains Sales etc). Finally Geography A Level Papers for 1966 and 1967 with Physical, Cartography and Regional (eg S.E. Asia) sections. Since I sat these papers at Bicester School, Oxon, I am assuming the board was an Oxford one. I sincerely hope you cantrack these down for me,

Yours sincerely,

Philip Herringisis

Dear Philip

Thank you for your email. We’ve checked all the A Level boards that are
now part of Cambridge Assessment* and haven’t been able to confirm which
board Bicester School was registered with in 1966/7 I’m afraid. The
Oxfordshire History Centre has a collection of records from the school, so
perhaps they could tell you which board the school was with.

* These include the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate
(UCLES), University of Oxford Delegacy of Local Examinations (UODLE),
Oxford and Cambridge Schools Examination Board (OCSEB) and Southern
Universities Joint Board (SUJB).

I’m sorry this isn’t more helpful news. If you have any questions, please
get in touch.

Dear Philip

Thank you for your email. I’m sorry to hear that the Oxford and Cambridge
Schools Examination Board papers provided weren’t the papers you sat.
Archives & Heritage holds only limited documentation for the Southern
Universities Joint Board for Schools Examinations and we don’t hold any
question papers from 1966 or 1967 I’m afraid. It may be worth contacting
the team of archivists at the Institute of Education to see whether they
hold the papers in their collections. They can be reached at
[1][email address].

You may also wish to consider whether your former exam board is managed by
a different organisation. If your old exam board no longer exists, you can
check which organisation to contact here:

I’m sorry this isn’t more helpful news. If you have any questions, please
