A406 Average Speed Cameras

The request was partially successful.

Dear Transport for London,

I would like to know about the section of the A406, from Ealing Common to Bounds Green. How can one tell where the Average Speed Cameras are placed - and what is the leeway allowed for going through these cameras without receiving a fine (how many MPH above 40/50)?

Yours faithfully,

UL

Thank you for your email received by us on 29 November 2015 asking for
information about A406 Average Speed Cameras

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  You

I would like to know about the section of the A406, from Ealing Common to
Bounds Green. How can one tell where the Average Speed Cameras are?

Before an average corridor is enforced appropriate signage conforming to
the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD) and national
guidance will be installed by TfL and ratified by the Metropolitan Police
Service.  This signage will not indicate the precise location of a safety
camera but will make the driver aware that they are within an average
speed corridor, the cameras themselves will be yellow .

What is the leeway allowed for going through these cameras without
receiving a fine (how many MPH above 40/50)?

We do not hold the information. Please contact Metropolitan Police Service
who might be able advise you further. [1]http://www.met.police.uk/foi/
