A259 Bus Lane Impact Studies.

rob shepherd made this Freedom of Information request to Lewes District Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Lewes District Council did not have the information requested.

Dear Lewes District Council,

Background

In 2007 B&HCC officers confirmed to the June Planning Committee Meeting that the impact of the proposed A259 Bus Lanes had been modelled and it had been determined that the peak time bus journeys would improve by 25% without impacting other traffic.

Since that time both ESCC and B&HCC have responded to FoI requests that they are unable to locate the model.

ESCC have however located some of the Traffic Data collected for that model.

The ESCC 2012 A259 Study, to determine the headroom or free capacity on the A259 to accommodate extra traffic to inform the Core Strategy and Lewes Local Plan, referred to Road Widths presumed to have informed that study. ESCC have been unable to locate the Road Width Surveys.

Request for Information from LDC.

Will you please provide me with copies of

(A) the Bus Lanes impact study (as above)
(B) the A259 Road Survey (widths) performed (as above)
(C) correspondence or minutes of meetings where the results of the Bus Lanes impact study were communicated to you by either ESCC or B&HCC.

Yours faithfully,

rob shepherd
