Dear Mr Corney,
Freedom of Information Act 2000 request – A202 and A205 BDS course
admissions statistic
In response to your request for information dated 11 August 2014, made under
section 1(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“the Act”), I am writing to
confirm that the information you require exists and is included in this response.
You asked the following:
“For successful applicants gaining entry to the A202 and A205 course in 2014, can
you please provide the following?
1. The lowest and highest UKCAT score and also the lowest and highest
qualifications held/predicted at the time of applying. I mean those applying to
A202 and A205 to begin in 2014, thus, those which applied in 2013. By
successful, I mean being offered an interview, and for those which did please
provide the lowest and highest UKCAT scores, along with their other
qualifications.
Please see tables 1 and 2 below.
2. Can you please provide both sets of data for the lowest and highest i.e: for the
lowest UKCAT score, Candidate X: UKCAT score 3000, predicted 2:1.
Please see tables 1 and 2 below.
3. For the highest qualification: Candidate Y: 12 A*'s GCSE, 6 A* A-levels, 1:1
Bsc, and UKCAT score: 3100
Please see tables 1 and 2 below.
So to clarify, only two tables need to be produced containing 2 candidates in each
which were offered an interview; An A202 table showing Candidate A and B, with
their UKCAT scores (one being the highest, the other being the lowest) and their other
relevant qualifications. And an A205 table showing candidate X and Y, with their
UKCAT scores (one being the highest, the other being the lowest) and their other
relevant qualifications held or predicted at the time of applying in October 2013,
for 2014 entry."
