A106 International Undergraduate Medicine (MBChB) Course Statistics
Dear University of Manchester,
I am an international applicant applying in this testing cycle for entry to the 2022 Undergraduate Medicine (A106) course at Manchester.
Listed queries in regards to the Undergraduate applications from the past 5 years-
1) What are the International Entry Requirements - CBSE (Indian Curriculum Board) for entry into the A106 Medicine course.
2) Are the CBSE percentage/marks converted to GCSE's/A-Levels. If so, what is the equivalent in terms of GCSEs and A-Level grades?
3) What were the UCAT Scores for successful International applicants securing an interview for 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017 entry via the holistic assessment route and the standard application route
4) Minimum and average UCAT scores of successful international applicants in 2021,2020,2019,2018,2017 entry (Non-Contextual) (Holistic and Standard Assessment )
6)" However, we will prioritise applicants who are in bands 1 and 2 in both our UCAT and holistic assessments." What is the process for selection via the holistic assessment route.
7) UCAT scores and CBSE (Indian Curriculum Board)/GCSEs and A-Level equivalent grades of successful international applicants from the past 5 years in the application cycle via offered the Holistic Assessment Route.
8)Are predicted grades taken into consideration for selecting applicants for interviews.
9) Could strong academics with extracurriculars and ample amount of work experience compensate for a lower UCAT score.
10) What is the weightage given to the UCAT Score, Situational Judgement Test, Academics and the personal statement in the selection process. (In terms of percentages)
11) What is the anticipated/confirmed international UCAT score threshold for 2022 entry in the A106 Undergraduate MBChB course.
12) Can a higher Situational Judgement Test Band compensate a lower UCAT score whilst comparing candidates and will Band 1/2 candidates be prioritised over other candidates having a Band 3/4 despite having a lower UCAT score.
13) What is the number of seats reserved for International Undergraduate Applicants for the A106 MBChB course at Manchester.
14) Is there a minimum UCAT score requirement/ Cutoff Score required to be considered for the A106 Undergraduate Course for the 2022 entry at Manchester.
Yours faithfully,
Tanujj Shewdikar
