A101 Graduate Medicine Offer Holder Statistics-BAME and Colleges

We're waiting for Abhinav to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear University of Oxford,

Please provide information regarding the Oxford A101 Graduate-Entry Programme's students of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic students: specifically, how many BAME students applied to, and received offers from each of the graduate medicine colleges over the last 3 years. The first column can be the names of the colleges, the second column can be the number of BAME applicants to each college, and the third column can be the number of offers to BAME applicants given out by each college.

Can you also please provide the number of applicants to each graduate medicine college, and the number of offers that each college provided. The first column can be the names of the colleges, and the second column can be the number of applicants to each college, and the third column can be the number of offers given out by each college.

Thank you very much.

Yours faithfully,

Abhinav Khanna

Dear FOI,

Thank you for your detailed response. It is noted that the BAME applicant:offer holder ratio (.056, of 5.6%) contrasts starkly to the general applicant:offer holder ratio (.131, or 13.1%). In accordance with the government's Unleashing Aspiration report, the final report of the Panel on Fair Access to the Professions, what measures have the colleges and/or the university at large taken to improve the ratio of applicant to offer holder in the Graduate-Entry Medicine program, and to widen access among and increase recruitment of BAME students? Could you please provide an explanation for the significant difference in the BAME applicant:offer holder ratio (.056, of 5.6%) and the general applicant:offer holder ratio (.131, or 13.1%)?

Yours sincerely,

Abhinav
