A101 degree classifications

The request was successful.

Dear Queen Mary, University of London,

Could you please provide me with the percentage of candidates invited to interview for the A101 graduate medicine course in 2016, 2017 and 2018 who had obtained a 2.1 classification in their initial degree.

For each candidate with a 2.1 who was invited to interview, could you please indicate whether any factor other than their degree classification and Ukcat score (e.g. Extenuating circumstances, additional qualifications) contributed to their offer of an interview. If possible, could you also indicate what those additional factors were in each instance.

Many thanks,

Isaac Jarret

FOI 2018/F397

Dear Isaac Jarret,

Thank you for your email of 25^th October.

I am pleased to provide the following responses.

The percentage of candidates invited to interview for A101 who had
obtained a 2.1 classification in the first degree was:

2016 = 3%, 2017 = 1.5%, 2018 = 2%

All were invited based on their position in the ranking process, which
scores degree classification and UKCAT and no other factors.

If you are dissatisfied with this response, you may ask QMUL to conduct a
review of this decision.  To do this, please contact the College in
writing (including by fax, letter or email), describe the original
request, explain your grounds for dissatisfaction, and include an address
