A100 medicine application statistics

The request was successful.

Dear University of Manchester,

I was wondering if you could help me with my hopefully relatively simple request.

I am compiling some application statistics in relation to your A100 medicine course over the last 3 years in relation to both domestic and international applicants. I have broken down my request for extra clarity. I would like to know the following:

In regards to your A100 undergraduate-entry Medicine course:

For UK/EU applicants applying for -2019- entry:
The number of applications
The number of applicants who were invited to interview
The number of offers made
The number of final acceptances.

For international (for fee-paying purposes) applicants for -2019- entry:
The number of applications
The number of applicants who were invited to interview
The number of offers made
The number of final acceptances.

For UK/EU applicants applying for -2018- entry:
The number of applications
The number of applicants who were invited to interview
The number of offers made
The number of final acceptances.

For international (for fee-paying purposes) applicants for -2018- entry:
The number of applications
The number of applicants who were invited to interview
The number of offers made
The number of final acceptances.

For UK/EU applicants applying for -2017- entry:
The number of applications
The number of applicants who were invited to interview
The number of offers made
The number of final acceptances.

For international (for fee-paying purposes) applicants for -2017- entry:
The number of applications
The number of applicants who were invited to interview
The number of offers made
The number of final acceptances.

If only partial data is available then I would be grateful for what you have.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Yours faithfully,

Dr Alec Maynard

Dear Lisa/University of Manchester,

Thank you for your response to my FOI. I did not realise that Manchester has decided to break from all other med schools and call their undergraduate entry medicine course A106!

Many thanks for the link, and in general for the transparency apparent within your admissions process.

However, the one data point I cannot see from your link is final acceptances i.e. the number of people who actually enrolled in the course as a result of the admissions process. I'd appreciate it if you could provide that data - hopefully not too much work for you! So to clarify my request is:

In relation to your A106 medicine course:

For UK/EU applicants applying for -2019- entry:
The number of final acceptances/enrolments

For international (for fee-paying purposes) applicants for -2019- entry:
The number of final acceptances/enrolments

For UK/EU applicants applying for -2018- entry:
The number of final acceptances/enrolments

For international (for fee-paying purposes) applicants for -2018- entry:
The number of final acceptances/enrolments

For UK/EU applicants applying for -2017- entry:
The number of final acceptances/enrolments

For international (for fee-paying purposes) applicants for -2017- entry:
The number of final acceptances/enrolments

For UK/EU applicants applying for -2016- entry:
The number of final acceptances/enrolments

For international (for fee-paying purposes) applicants for -2016- entry:
The number of final acceptances/enrolments

For UK/EU applicants applying for -2015- entry:
The number of final acceptances/enrolments

For international (for fee-paying purposes) applicants for -2015- entry:
The number of final acceptances/enrolments.

I'd be grateful if this could be treated as a new request under FOI legislation. Many thanks.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Maynard
