A100 Medicine

Isabel made this Freedom of Information request to Aston University

Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

The request was successful.

Dear Aston University,

Would you be able to provide how you determine who gives out offers? Is it solely interview performance or use of UCAT or GCSE's?
If so, would you be able to provide me with any cut offs in recent years for offers and interviews?

For each candidate interviewed for 2020 A100 entry, could you please provide an anonymised itemised table with the following information: their GCSE results, predicted/achieved A-levels (or equivalent), UCAT result, and interview score broken down into constituent parts.

If for whatever reason this request is not possible, then could you please fulfil the same request, omitting each of the following data with decreasing preference until it is possible:

1. Data from unsuccessful candidates (i.e. those not given offers to study A100 medicine)
2. A-levels
3. GCSEs
If an overall academic score out of 24 (as is used pre-interview) is possible and easier than the above two data (GCSEs and A-levels) then feel free to provide this instead.
3. Constituent parts of interview scores (the more detail possible the better, but at the very least the total interview score)

i.e. The bare minimum desired response (if none of the above is also possible) would have the following information in a tabular format as shown:

Candidate | UCAT result | Total interview score
1 A X
2 B Y

Yours faithfully,

Isabel
