The request was partially successful.

Dear St John's College, Cambridge,

I am writing to you about the A100 Medicine course, specifically the admissions cycles of 2018 and 2019.

Please may you send:
1) The number of A* for each offer holder
2) The proportion of A* for each offer holder
3) BMAT scores for each offer holder
4) Interview scores for each offer holder

I would be grateful if this could be done for both years and in a Microsoft Excel document.

Thank you kindly.

Yours faithfully,

S. Rathbone

Dear St John's College, Cambridge,

Freedom of Information Officer, St John's College, Cambridge

Dear S. Rathbone,

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request concerning Medicine
(A100) admissions.

To comply with your precise request would require the processing of the
personal data of individual applicants for a purpose other than that for
which it was obtained and would therefore conflict with the Data
Protection Principles. However, we hope the  information below will prove
useful.

1) The number of A* GCSEs achieved by offer holders ranged from:

* 4 to 11 in application year 2018
* 5 to 11 in application year 2019.

2) The proportion of A* GCSEs achieved by offer holders ranged from:

* 57.1% to 100% in application year 2018
* 41.7% to 100% in application year 2019.

3) The BMAT overall scores of offer holders ranged from:

* 5.43 to 6.93 in application year 2018
* 4.63 to 7.43 in application year 2019.

4) The overall interview scores of offer holders ranged from:

* 7.92 to 9.08 in application year 2018
* 7.25 to 9.00 in application year 2019.

For clarification, the 2018 application year ran from applications opening
in September 2017 to confirmation in August 2018. The 2019 application
year ran from applications opening in September 2018 to confirmation in
August 2019.

If you are dissatisfied with my response you may seek an internal review
in writing setting out the grounds for review. It will be dealt with by a
College Officer. Should you not be satisfied with the outcome of the
review, you will have a right of appeal to the Information Commissioner by
writing to: Information Commissioner’s Officer, Wycliffe House, Water
Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

Yours sincerely,
