Hello
I have been allocated your FOI to handle and I would like to run something
by you before I request the data from our informatics team.
The location is classed as a private address for purposes of patient
confidentiality, therefore we can only provide data relating to the post
code or street name which will include any incidents outside the prison
and we will not be able to tell you which were inside/outside.
Where the number is less than five, we will not include a number but state
‘less than 5’.
Our records do not show who stood down an ambulance so we cannot provide
an answer to question 5.
Please can you confirm that you are happy for the request to proceed based
on the above information?
If so, please can you confirm the address for the prison is Southall
Street, Manchester, M60 9AH?
Please be aware, the timeframe in which to respond to your request is now
paused until we hear back from you.
Thank you

Dear Simon
As explained, the location is classed as a private address for purposes of
patient confidentiality, therefore we can only provide data relating to
Southall St, M60. This will include incidents both inside and outside of
the prison. To prevent jigsaw identification of patients, specific dates
and times have not been included. During the specified time period,
received calls for 695 incidents at or on Southall St, M60, of these 688
required ambulance attendance.
The data is shown on the spreadsheet attached.
Please note the following descriptions of ambulance outcomes:
See and treat = face to face response, treated and discharged at scene
with potential for referral to another health care provider eg GP.
Hear and treat = telephone assessment by clinician – no face to face
response.
See and convey = face to face response and onward conveyance to hospital
or other treatment centre.
