I am writing further to your request made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 received on 15 August 
2022.  NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care Board’s (ICB) response is set out below: 
 
Please could you tell me whether you implement a ‘same-sex’ personal care policy for your social 
care service users? Or if you have moved to a ‘gender based’ policy? 
 
Not applicable. The ICB does not have any social care service users 
 
 
Does this policy apply to social care users who receive CHC funding provided by you, as well as 
those who receive council funded social care? 
 
Social care users by definition do not receive CHC funding. CHC funded clients do not have their care 
provided by the ICB and so we do not have a policy on this; care is commissioned through private providers. 
 
The ICB we cannot answer on behalf of the local authority regarding council funded care. 
 
Please provide proof of your policy. 
 
Not applicable. Please refer to the response at Q2 
 
Do you instruct all care agencies in the area to comply with your policy or are each able to 
implement their own policy? 
 
Not applicable.
