Minutes of Previous Meeting
The minutes of the last meeting that was held on Tuesday 30th November
2010 were circulated and were agreed as an accurate record.

monitoring for two more weeks as the resident complains direct to
CEO.

MOB reported that he is awaiting a decision from Tim Jackson. MOB
will chase up Tim.

JfM to meet Dean Percival and resolve this. JfM to arrange meeting
with Dean Percival. Information from DP is that this is ongoing but
nearly completed.

MOB reported that he will chase up the large A1 and A2 maps to
assist with re-beating for the new waste strategy.

MOB reported that this issue still hasn’t been resolved satisfactorily.
JfM reported that some salt will be returned tomorrow.

Completed
No evidence of any intention to racially abuse. This was high spirits
by the crew and another road user. The crew were spoken to and
advised about the use of foul language in future. MOB has
completed Stage One. Issue now completed.

The crew were spoken to and advised to be more careful during
future collections.

Relaxing of Gritter Drivers Hours
Information
MOB handed JfM a copy of a letter from DoT giving authorisation to
Brent to relax HGV driving hours for those employed on gritting.
5(b)
Additional Gritting Requests

JfM reported that additional gritting requests from Call Centre,
Control Room and StreetCare staff causes problems with gritting the
Priority Routes. All extra requests for gritting should go through the
Senior Officer on gritting for that week.

Grit Usage
Information
JFM reported about 589 tonnes of grit had been used up to 3rd
December 2010. This means there are 1900 tonnes remaining to be
used.
Borrowed Salt

See item 4(o) re returning of borrowed salt to Ealing.
Salt at Alperton
MOB/JfM
MOB agreed to send JfM details of the salt owned by Brent that is
held in the Westminster salt barn at Marsh Road.
Gritters in Bus Lanes
Completed
MOB reported that it is OK for the gritters to use the bus lanes only
when gritting. He agreed to investigate the cage vehicles using the
bus lanes to replenish grit bins and grit pavements.

JR produced figures for missed collections for the last week. He
highlighted the excellent figures and asked that all crews be thanked

There were a total of 189 rectification points this week, 180 were
for street cleaning issues. The previous week data showed a steady
improvement.

JR reported that the feedback for traunche two from KBT will take
place on Wednesday 8th December at StreetCare. JfM reported that
some of his managers were not available however those that are
will attend.
