Minutes of Previous Meeting
The minutes of the last meeting that was held on Tuesday 14th September
2010 were circulated and were agreed as an accurate record. The meeting
scheduled for 21st September was cancelled.

EB reported that this was access problems caused by the resident
parking across driveway so bins/box couldn’t be removed. This
matter can now be closed.

water collects inside. It was agreed to continue to monitor
collections at this property.

139 Churchill Road, NW2 - 28/9/2010

JR reported a complaint that the refuse crew were returning the
bins and blocking access to the front door. The meeting appreciated
that there was limited space to store the bins but photos showed
the problem along the whole street. MM and LSW had already
spoken to the crew. It was agreed to monitor these collections.

Pitfield Way, NW10 - 28/9/2010
JR/JfM
JR reported that Contender 1072221 reporting a weed problem in
Pitfield Way on 23/8/2010. The first entry by Veolia on 25/8/2010
says “Unjustified, crew advice not on spec.” The next entry by Veolia
on 7/9/2010 says “Crew advice: work in progress.” The next entry
by Veolia on 9/9/2010 say “crew advice: cleared as requested”. The
area was inspected and found not to be completed. For JfM to
check.

Recycling Tonnages - 28/9/2010
Information
JR asked that NA be asked to forward any recycling tonnages that
she may have to TT and TOR. As DL was not at the meeting JR will
email the request to Nadine.

MOB reported a complaint regarding non collection of the green
box. It was agreed to monitor this collection.

30 Magnolia Court - 28/9/2010

MOB reported green box and organic collections both missed. It
was agreed to monitor these collections.

Complaint against refuse driver - 28/9/2010
Completed
MOB raised this matter that has already been investigated by EB.
This was a problem where the dustcart was displaying hazard
warnings as he drove over the white line to get past parked cars.
The complainant was driving an approaching driver vehicle and
refused to give way for the dustcart. It was agreed that there
should be no further action with this matter.
5a(vii) Allegation of crew taking Commercial waste – 28/9/2010
Completed
MOB raised this matter and EB reported that this was already
investigated. The circumstances were that the crew were working
to instructions and cleared a large TV box containing packaging that
the recycling crew rightly refuse to take as it would contaminate
their load. It was agreed that there should be no further action in
this matter.

5a(viii) Grey/Green Bin Issues - 28/9/2010

EB requested that more care be taken by the Call Centre in deciding
whether reports concerned green or grey bins. MOB agreed to send
an email.

JR reported that there were 14 reports of overgrown weeds last
week. This is an increase from 13 the previous week. Spraying is
taking place when appropriate. Delays are caused by the changes in
weather patterns.

It was reported that green bins are now in as they are being
distributed.

Missed Collections
Missed collection figures were distributed at the meeting. JR
reminded the meeting that these were reported by residents and
may possibly contain some contaminated bins and boxes
deliberately left by the crew under instructions.

Domestic Refuse
JR reported that recorded missed refuse collections decreased from
69 to 42 the week before last and remained level at 42 last week.

Green Box
JR reported that recorded missed green box collections for the last
three weeks were 26, 29 and 16 for last week.

Organic
JR reported that recorded missed organic collections for the last
three weeks were 46, 32 and 41 last week.

The next missed estates collections are due in October.

The next report of crews not returning the containers properly is

Rectification Points
JR produced figures and graphical representations for rectification
points issued over the past two weeks. There was a small increase
from 470 for the previous week to 484 for last week.
