a.  Inspections that look at litter, detritus, graffiti and fly posting

c.  Ten (9 in Brent Land Uses)

i.  Traunche One

August to November 
iii.  Traunche Three 
December to March 
e.  300+ inspections each traunche made up of: 
i.  6 inspections in each ward for each land use 
ii.  Totals 300 inspections every traunche 
iii.  900+ inspections every year 
 
2.  What are the new gradings for NI195 
a.  A, B, C and D with intermediate grades of: 
b.  b+, b- and c-  (b- replaced old bc) 
 
3.  How does the scoring work 
a.  A, b+ and B grades are all acceptable and incur no default scores 
b.  B- is nearly satisfactory so score ½ a default 
c.  C- and D are unsatisfactory and score 1 default 
d.  The litter and detritus scores are no longer averaged so that problems can be 
more readily identified 
e.  The final score is the percentage  of unsatisfactory inspections of the total 
 
4.  How to improve score 
a.  Have less inspections graded as b-, C, C- and D OR 
b.  Have more inspections graded as A, b+ and B. 
c.  Certain land uses historically are worse than others and reflect on the overall 
score,  These are 
i.  Other highways for litter and detritus 
ii.  Industrial for detritus 
d.  Target these land uses for specific problems 
 
5.  Information to Assist identify problem roads 
a.  Folder with all of the inspections since 2005 for the 5 target wards 
b.  Inspectors use a map shaded with the various land uses 
c.  Tend to re-visit the same roads 
i.  Any regularly poor scores should be targeted 
ii.  Poor scores can be for litter or detritus or both
