“Using the DDaT framework, Please provide me with the count, level, base pay
scales and grade for staff in post, for the below DDaT roles within HM Land
Registry.
Where an employee is recognised by a specialism, this should be rolled up into
the closest DDaT job Family.
For example, for a "Java Developer" of a given capability:
4 x Senior Software Engineer, G7, £38k - £47k
2 x Principal Software Engineer, G6, £53k - £68k
This should not include non-pensionable pay or allowances.

HM Land Registry has considered your request in accordance with the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
Our first obligation under the legislation is to confirm whether we do or do not hold the
requested information.
In accordance with Section 1(1) of FOIA we can confirm that HM Land Registry does
hold recorded information in relation to this matter.
A copy of the information is enclosed.
Please note the following:
• HM Land Registry do not currently map to the DDaT framework, so the response
has been based on job title 'nearest fit'. This may change with detailed analysis
of individual roles, validated by a subject matter expert
• These roles attract an additional IT allowance after a qualifying period
o The EO and HEO year 1 (£2,628) and SEO/SEO+ (£4,609) allowances
are usually payable after 12 months on confirmation that the individual
has reached the required level of competence and technical skill
o For EOs and HEOs the year 2 allowance (£4,609) is payable after a
further 12 month qualifying period, on confirmation that individuals have
reached the required level of competence and technical skill
o From 2 July 2020 all new allowances are non-pensionable

HM Land Registry Complaints and Internal Review procedure
If you are not satisfied with our handling of your request, then you may request an
internal review.
Please clearly indicate that you wish for a review to be conducted and state the
reason(s) for requesting the review.
Please note that it is usual practice to accept a request for an internal review within 40
working days from the date we have issued this response. The
Section 45 FOIA code of
practice advises that public authorities are not obliged to accept internal reviews after
this period.
Please be aware that the review process will focus upon our handling of your request
and whether HM Land Registry have complied with the requirements of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. The internal review process should not be used to raise concerns
about the internal processes of other HM Land Registry functions.
