Freedom of Information Request – FOI2022/00043 
 
I am writing in response to your letter received by Post Office Limited (“Post Office”) on 
14 January, which I am dealing with under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 
2000.  
 
At present our view is that your request fal s within the scope of the section 43(2) FOIA 
qualified exemption. As permitted by section 10 FOIA, Post Office requires further time to 
consider the public interest test in relation to this exemption. An extension is permitted 
until such time as is reasonable in the circumstances. Having considered the FOIA Code 
of Practice, Post Office considers that an extension of 20 working days is appropriate in 
this instance and wil  therefore aim to respond to you by 11 March 2022.
