Freedom of Information Act 2000 Thank you for your request dated 20 May 2021 for information relating to
1. How many instances of the Microsoft Windows 7 Operating System are currently in operation
across your entire network? How many devices such as kiosks, lap tops etc are still running
Windows 7?
2. How many instances of the Microsoft Windows XP Operating System are currently in
operation across your entire network ? How many devices such as kiosks, lap tops etc are still
running Windows XP?
3. Who is the officer responsible for maintaining and delivering legacy applications to all your
users?
The Department has completed a search of its records and I can confirm we do not hold any
information in relation to your request. However, Enterprise Shared Services in the Department
of Finance have advised that they may hold some or all of the information you have requested
and will reply on behalf of all of the departments in the Northern Ireland Civil Service.
If you are unhappy with the level of service you have received in relation to your request, you
may ask for an internal review within two calendar months of the date of this letter. You may
