Dear Mr. Tinker
Thank you for your requests for information. Under the Freedom of Information Act (the

Freedom of Information Request - 953
In response to your request regarding Residential Support Workers:
Following enquiries I can confirm that the Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS
Foundation Trust does not employ anyone in the above capacity.
In response to your requests regarding Allied Health Professionals and Nursing Spend:
In response to your request regarding Allied Health Professionals the Trust does
not employee the following: Arts Therapists, Chiropodists / Podiatrists, Hearing
Aid Dispensers, Paramedics, Practitioner Phychologists, Prosthetist/Orthotists or
Speech & Language Therapists. Furthermore, Biomedical scientists and Clinical
Scientists are not classed as Allied Health Professionals.
In response to your request regarding Nursing Spend the Trust believes it will be
either very difficult or not possible to separate RGN - Registered General Nurses
and RSCN- Registered Sick Children's Nurses from the general category of
Nurses.
With reference to the remainder or your request much of the information you
have requested is not held in an easily retrievable form. In order to comply with
your request the Trust believes that the required work would take in excess of the
‘appropriate limit’ of 18 hours as defined in section 12(1) of the FOI Act.
Section 12(1) states that:
“Section 1(1) does not oblige a public authority to comply with a request for
information if the authority estimates that the cost of complying with the request
would exceed the 'appropriate limit1”
The Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has therefore, in this
instance, declined to provide the requested information.
The Trust believes it would be difficult to reduce the amount of work below the
appropriate limit. Furthermore, as much of the information is not held by the
Trust, we have not attempted to provide a suggested narrowed request. If you
would like to narrow your request, or would like to Trust to identify what
information it may be able to provide within the appropriate limit please contact
me.
If we receive this confirmation from you that you would like us to suggest a
narrowed request, the timescale for responding to this will commence. Please
note that if I do not receive appropriate confirmation within three months from the
date of this letter (i.e. by Tuesday, 20/09/2011), then I will consider your request
completely closed.
If you wish to discuss the above, please contact me. Please remember to quote
the reference number above in any future communications.
