Thank you for your request dated 6 April, in which you asked the Department of Health and Social 
Care (DHSC):  
 
“How much money has been given to drug manufacturers during the inclusive dates  01.01.2020 to 
31.03.2021 in respect of COVID-19 'treatments'” 
 
Your request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). 
 
DHSC holds information relevant to your request. DHSC has spent 189,206,195 on the 
procurement of drugs to treat COVID-19 in the financial year 2020/2021. 
 
If you are not satisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to appeal by asking for
