Thank you.
With regards to hangars, wil ask our members. I guess the answer resides somewhere in the balance
between addressing genuine concerns and rejecting objections based on bias that have no place in a
middle of a respiratory pandemic and climate emergency. May I suggest perhaps to include the benefits
of active travel and costs of lack thereof, in consultation documents? I mean objecting to something as
huge as this on the basis that it's ugly or would remove a parking space is something that should be cal ed
for what it is. The below is from Gear Change, the national Walking and Cycling strategy. Did you see also
the latest TfL Travel in London report? I was surprised to see that in Brent 45% of people walk or cycle to
the shops! Including public transport, 65% do not use a car to go to the shops.

Happy new year
Al good here thanks and hope you are too.
You must be a mind reader we was discussing school streets this morning and how we are
going to manage the review process now the schools are only open for key workers and
vulnerable children. If possible we would like to extend the consultation especial y for the
first batch as this is due to finish at the end of this month. We are waiting to hear back from
about the TMO and legal implications of this.
The aim is to instal cameras at al school streets that are to be made permanent and to fund
with phase 2 funding or S106, we wil prioritise the schemes to ensure those most in need of
cameras receive them first.
With regards to cycling would it be possible to ask your members if they could share any
ideas they have fr bike hangar locations with us please. We have S106 funding to instal
more and whilst we have been inundated with requests we always struggle to find suitable
locations, especial y ones that don’t result in lots of objections during the consultation stage.
Thanks in advance for your help and hope the meeting goes wel .
Kind regards

Dear
Happy New Year! Hope you are safe and wel .
We have our monthly meeting tonight and I was wondering what is the position over
School Streets now that schools are closed?
Wil the consultations end on the same date or wil they be paused? Some of the earlier
schemes are due to end at the end of February.
Is there any indication from the Phase 2 funding that the council may have funding to
consider the ones with public support into camera enforcement, once the consultation
process ends?
