Dear E Smith,
Re: Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Request
Thank you for your email of 13 January in which you requested from the Insolvency Service:
“Dear Insolvency Service, please provide confirmation where the insolvency service
regard the opening of a company compliance check into a company by HMRC as
confirmation of an actual legal debt”.
Under section 8(1)(c) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 I reasonably require further
information in order to identify and locate the information that you have requested.
The Insolvency Service is not be able to proceed with your request without extra information
from you. In particular, it would be useful to know what exactly you mean by ‘the opening of a
company compliance check into a company by HMRC as confirmation of an actual legal debt”.
The wording of your request is not clear and thus we need further clarification in order to
answer your query. If this relates to a specific case, we would recommend you provide a
personal email address for the response.
If you wish to discuss any of the above, please contact me. Please remember to quote the
reference number above in any future communications.
If you are not satisfied with the response we have provided you and would like us to reconsider
our decision by way of an internal review (IR), please contact our Information Rights Team at
xxx@xxxxxxxxxx.xxx.xx or by post at:
