on 21 December, which I am dealing with under the terms of the Freedom of 
Information Act 2000 (“FOIA”).

When was the closing date for the scheme? 
 
The original closing date of the Scheme was 14 August 2020. However, Post 
Office has also allowed a number of late applications after this date for Post-
masters with exceptional circumstances.

How many applicants to the scheme are there? 
 
As at 18th January there were 2,445 claims. 
 
3.  
Have we made any payments to date? 
 
Yes, some interim payments have been made. 
 
4. 
If no payments, is this due to the fact that we are still assessing the 
claim? 
 
Not applicable.

Do we have a date when we are likely to make any payments? 
 
Not applicable.
