Thank you for your email of 18 October 2020 requesting the following information:
“I am seeking the following information regarding the horse riding permit scheme that is run
on military land as defined by the Aldershot and District Military Lands Act.
1. The terms, condition and cost of a horse riding permit.
2. The number of permits issued since January 2019
3. If the permit is annual, monthly or perpetual.”
I am treating your correspondence as a request for information under the Freedom of Information

A search for the information has now been completed within the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and I
can confirm that all the information in scope of your request is held, which can be found below.
The terms and conditions for a horse riding permit for the Defence Training Estate, South East can
be found at Annex A and the map referenced in these terms and conditions can be found at Annex
The cost of a horse riding permit is £127.50 per annum.
The number of horse riding permits issued on the Defence Training Estate, South East, since
January 2019 is 160.
The horse riding permits issued on the Defence Training Estate South East, are valid for one year.
